FORTILINE®: supporting protein needs during significant weight loss
Following bariatric surgery or during obesity medication treatment, eating habits and food intake can change significantly. During periods of major weight loss, it is important to maintain adequate protein intake, particularly to help preserve muscle mass.

FORTILINE® is a rapidly digested collagen peptide powder, designed to supplement protein intake when needs are increased or when food intake is reduced.
Its truly neutral taste makes it easy to add to many foods without changing their flavour. Thanks to its good solubility, it can be incorporated into hot or cold, sweet or savoury preparations, such as soups, compotes, dairy products, drinks or other everyday foods.
A 12 g serving of FORTILINE® provides 11 g of protein. The amount used should be adapted to individual protein requirements and to the recommendations of the healthcare professional supporting the patient.
After bariatric surgery
After a sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass or another type of obesity surgery, reduced food intake may make it more difficult to achieve recommended protein intakes.
FORTILINE® can be used to increase the protein content of meals and snacks without significantly increasing their volume, making it easier to include in a diet adapted to the post-operative period.
During obesity medication treatment
Obesity medication treatments can also be associated with reduced food intake and substantial weight loss.
In this context, particular attention may need to be paid to protein intake. As part of an appropriate nutritional care plan, FORTILINE® can help supplement dietary protein intake during periods of weight loss.
